Effects of meteorological parameters on COVID-19 transmission trends in Bangladesh

Understanding the influence of meteorological parameters in relation to COVID-19 transmission may be a convenient way predict ongoing pandemic towards its adaptive control measures. This study aims explore association between cases and for an extended period covering different climatic patterns. The number cases, daily records rainfall, temperature, relative humidity wind speed data were collected April May 2020 from eight major divisions Bangladesh. basic statistical analyses auto regressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) using SPSS tool applied evaluate trend. A greater significant positive associations (r = 0.24–0.58) is found exist across cities, while with temperature both negative − 0.23 0.72) revealed. Furthermore, rainfall exhibit correlations. ARIMA model portrayed predictive trend transmission, inception on 8 March September 2020, month July showed highest prior lowering at steady rate till illustrating influnce parameters.
